Summary:

In Episode 60, the characters reach breaking points, leading to irreversible decisions and a deep sense of loss. The episode begins with Safir, who is struggling with the weight of his past and the betrayal he feels from Mehrmaah. In a fit of rage, Safir grabs Mehrmaah by the arm, dragging her out of the house. He tells her that, just like Haley was thrown out because of her, now it is her turn to be cast out. His voice is filled with hatred as he declares that he divorces her, making her feel completely discarded and unwanted(60).
Farwa tries to intervene, pleading with Safir to stop, but Shams steps in, warning her that if she speaks another word, she will hear the same three words—divorce—that Safir has uttered. Safir, indifferent to both their pleas, drags Mehrmaah out of the house. She doesn’t resist; perhaps she is too shocked or too numb to fight back. The image of her being pulled like a lifeless doll signifies the end of her marriage(60).
In a later scene, Safir is found in his room, broken and devastated. He confesses to his father, Shams, how deeply Mehrmaah’s actions have affected him. Safir’s pain is palpable as he breaks down, blaming his mother for teaching him pride but never teaching him forgiveness. He admits that his mother instilled in him hatred, deceit, and pride, but she never taught him how to deal with failure or extend mercy. Safir’s emotional outpouring reflects his inner turmoil as he laments how much his mother’s toxic influence has ruined his life(60).
Meanwhile, Haley and Umar’s relationship takes a turn as they reflect on the chaos around them. Haley, worn out and emotionally drained, expresses to Umar that she is tired of the hatred and revenge that have consumed their lives. She longs for peace and a return to normalcy, confessing that she no longer feels hatred or love for Mehrmaah—she just wants it all to end. Haley is desperate to move on from the drama and focus on living a life free of bitterness(60).
In a shocking turn, Mehrmaah decides to confront Farwa. Filled with rage and bitterness, she corners Farwa and blames her for everything that has gone wrong in her life. She accuses Farwa of poisoning her mind with jealousy and deceit. In a fit of anger, Mehrmaah attacks Farwa, smothering her with a cushion until she suffocates. This brutal act of violence marks a dark and final break in Mehrmaah’s character arc, showcasing her complete descent into madness(60).
The episode ends with Mehrmaah walking away from the scene of her crime, leaving behind a lifeless Farwa. Her heart is filled with a cold determination as she vows to reclaim everything she has lost, but it is clear that she has crossed a line from which there is no return(60).
This episode is a turning point in the series, marked by betrayal, emotional breakdowns, and violent confrontations.
