Summary:

In Episode 9, the past catches up with several characters, and the weight of long-hidden secrets begins to take its toll. Nafisa, who has been struggling for years with legal battles, finally wins her case, regaining her license after being exonerated. However, this victory is bittersweet as she decides to resign, haunted by guilt over a past event involving a girl’s death. Her internal turmoil becomes evident as she confesses her regret to her brother Rahman, admitting that her decision to abandon her profession stems from her belief that she has failed in upholding its sanctity.
Nafisa’s decision to sell her house and open self-defense classes for girls highlights her desire to make amends for her past. She passionately explains that although she couldn’t save one girl, she will now empower others to defend themselves. However, Rahman questions whether people will trust her to teach their daughters such skills in a society that is resistant to the idea of women learning self-defense. Despite his skepticism, Nafisa remains determined, confident that women will flock to her classes, especially if offered free training alongside paid skills such as cooking or sewing.
Meanwhile, tensions rise within the Sultan family. Mehraaj Sultan, Haley’s father, learns that Shams Sultan, his brother, has sold a piece of their family land without permission. This betrayal shakes Mehraaj to the core, leading to a furious confrontation in front of the company’s employees. In a shocking moment, Mehraaj slaps Shams, publicly humiliating him for making the decision without consulting him. Shams tries to justify his actions, boasting about the lucrative deal, but Mehraaj is unmoved, condemning his brother’s greed and warning him about the consequences of dishonoring their family values.
At the same time, Haley becomes suspicious of Safeer’s intentions when she discovers a bottle of alcohol in his car. When confronted, Safeer tries to downplay his drinking, claiming that it is a necessary part of the social circles he frequents. However, Haley’s disappointment is palpable. She pushes Safeer to choose between his vices and their relationship, drawing a clear line that she will not tolerate his behavior. Safeer, visibly frustrated, accuses Haley of being overly righteous, but Haley stands firm, asserting that her principles will not change to accommodate his actions.
As the episode progresses, Haley’s internal conflict becomes more pronounced. She wrestles with the love she has for Safeer and her growing doubts about his moral compass. The episode ends on a cliffhanger as Safeer reluctantly agrees to change his ways, but Haley is left wondering whether his words hold any real weight or if he is merely placating her to avoid confrontation.
